Welcome to the new home of Expressroom

• What happened?

  Industrial Medium acquired Expressroom. That's the short answer. If you are interested in the longer answer, you can read the press release or contact us directly!

• Who is Industrial Medium?

  We're the folks who built the product and participated in many site implementations and deployment efforts.

  We're also an Internet software and services firm dedicated to improving the lot of web site owners everywhere. We provide web content and web site management software and services, including Carbide, our web-based Web Site Management System, and managed hosting, for completely turnkey solutions. Interested in knowing more about our products?

• What does this mean for the current customers?

  While we've been providing Tier-2 support and development services since Fall 2002, now we directly provide product support and development services for Expressroom, so all customers should contact us for assistance and introduction to our support program.

  Expressroom licenses are available directly from Industrial Medium is available on GSA through Spectrum Systems (GSA Schedule Contract #: GS-35F-5192G). We offer several cost-saving solution packages, combining licenses, services, and support, based on the most commonly deployed configurations.

• What's next?

  We're continuing development on the product and we've got a release planned for the fall that includes:
  

  
  
  • Automation Framework – Allowing for rule-based creation of logical pages, site map entries, and item propagation.

  • Enhanced JSP support, including:
    
    
    • An Expressroom-specific custom tag library
      
    • An alternative to layout templates and logical pages
      
    • Introduction of an ICM URI

  • Integrated Site Search with Lucene – Providing a high-performance, no-additional-cost alternative to third-party search solutions.
  
  Our product enhancement list is being driven by our customers, and we're asking everyone to share with their thoughts and ideas on how we can make Expressroom better. All customers that are current under maintenance will receive the new release.

• What else are we doing?

  We're working to increase the value of your investment in Expressroom. Not only through an improved product line, superior service and support, but also through increased communication. For example, we will soon be rolling out a pair of mailing lists: one to let us keep you informed of product developments and announcements from Industrial Medium and another community list designed to put Expressroom users and developers in touch with one another so that they can help each other build better solutions.

• Is there anything else?

  We ask that all our existing customers, and everyone else interested in Expressroom, contact us any time they have a question about the product or our services. We're here to help.

• What happened to the 'X' in Expressroom?

  It's part of the rebranding of Expressroom. The name will remain the same, but it has reverted to its original styling.
