Expressroom Specifications

In order to support various operating systems and environments (embedded and otherwise), the Expressroom development team has chosen Java™ as the implementation language and the Java 2 platform as the deployment environment.

Server Requirements

Currently, any operating environment with the following characteristics will support Expressroom as its server:

• Java Support:
  Java 2 Standard Edition; comes bundled with Expressroom
  
• Web servers/servlet runners:
  Apache Tomcat 4.1.30
  Apache HTTP Server version 1.3.12 and above with Apache Tomcat 4.1.30
  Microsoft® IIS 4.0/5.0 with Resin™ 1.1.4 servlet engine

Client Requirements

Currently, any operating environment with the following characteristics will support Expressroom as a client:

• Java:Support for Java 1.4 JRE (Java 2 platform); comes bundled with Expressroom

  Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional
  Microsoft® Windows® 2000
  Microsoft® Windows® NT 4.0 SP5+
  Any platform offering 100% support for the Java 2 platform
  
• RAM:
  256 MB
  
• Disk space:
  130 MB
