Expressroom Document Assistant Web Service

This is a demonstration of the Document Assistant Web Service. It highlights Document Assistant’s ability to convert native file formats (Microsoft Word, in this case) into XML, and then to convert it back to the original file format.

Since converting a file to and from XML would not make much of demonstration, we'll add a little pizzazz along the way. Using the Calais Web service from Reuters, rich semantic metadata will be generated for your document and summarized on a cover sheet that we'll insert into your document. Not only that, we'll also include links to all the places in your document where the metadata is found.
