United For DC/Barra Brava Mini-Golf Event
Industrial Medium joined D.C. United supporters group La Barra Brava and the D.C. United players and organization in their support of the Barra Brava 2nd Annual Charity Mini-Golf Tournament on August 13, 2008, at the TopGolf Kingstowne mini-golf center in Alexandria, VA. The event benefited D.C. United's charitable arm United For D.C., an organization that serves the Washington, D.C. community through the creation or support of programs, events and organizations that advance the educational and social welfare opportunities. Industrial Medium proudly sponsored hole #16: a devious hole with plenty of rocks and sharp angles (sorry, no clown nose or windmill).
Three of our intrepid employees-- Nate, Paul, and Roger
-- joined D.C. United defender Bryan Namoff for a foursome that many thought would sweep the tournament. The mini-golf round ended in a three-way tie, but even though Roger's score fell short of the mark, he nevertheless sunk a bodacious 20-foot putt. As the holes on this mini-golf course are a real challenge (there were no holes-in-one), Roger's putt was truly a standout!
Industrial Medium would like to extend thanks to La Barra Brava and D.C. United for the opportunity to support a worthy organization like United For D.C. and for a fun night of mini-golf and raffle drawings.
We hope to see you at next year's event!
